CANTIENICA® Back Training

Our back is a sophisticated marvel: its central axis, the spine, consists of the coccyx, sacrum and 24 freely movable vertebrae above it. A good 200 small muscles strutting across it give the whole thing stability and elasticity. Many other muscle groups ensure that the ribcage, pelvis and shoulders are "connected" to the central axis and thus shape our back. A construction perfect for walking upright and good for 100 years of human life, provided all components of the body - feet, legs, pelvis, trunk, rib cage, shoulders, head - are optimally aligned and the two interstices pelvic floor and diaphragm are active.

Flat feet, knock-knees or bow-legs, a tilted pelvis, a collapsed ribcage, hunched shoulders and collarbones take their toll on the back. The result is pain of many kinds and deformities of the spine.
